Launch of a new project “Religious Freedom in Kazakhstan”

The office of the Institute for War and Peace Reporting in Kazakhstan is pleased to announce the launch of a new project “Freedom of Religion in Kazakhstan”.

It is aimed at further improving legislation in the field of religion in Kazakhstan in accordance with international principles and standards, as well as training religious and community leaders, experts and activists in the field of religion to increase their potential for advocacy, legal literacy and improve the skills of using media resources. In addition, within the Project, it is planned to build an open, constructive dialogue with government officials responsible for the implementation of state policy in the field of religion. 

As a part of the Project, round tables, conferences and training seminars are planned to be held throughout Kazakhstan with highly qualified trainers and mentors. 

The project has three main objectives:

1) Building the capacity of religious and community leaders, experts on advocacy skills in the field of religious freedom; 

2) Expanding public support for the principles of religious freedom;

3) Building an open, constructive dialogue with government agencies. 

All information will soon be available on the platform Belief CABAR.asia and a Facebook page where you can learn more about the activities carried out within the framework of the project, as well as leave your feedback and comments.
