In Tajikistan, some of the women complain that their own family members force them to wear a hijab. Lawyers say that for these actions are prohibited by law, but women fear that it can disrupt the relationship within the family.
According to the 2016 research, a mere 0.7 per cent of Kyrgyzstanis deem themselves atheists.
They are listed as extremists and even after release those convicted under article 174 of the Criminal Code encounter severe barriers to employment and earnings.
